FRAS Flying Club was founded by Captain Singh, a Singaporean aviator dedicates his time to provide high-quality and relevant aviation programmes to all his students. At FRAS, we offer Private Pilot Training, Private Pilot License Training, Young Aviators Programmes and Flight Experiences of a lifetime. To date, we are the only club to be approved by CAAM as AMO, CAMO, ARS, MASS & BALANCE. The FRAS Flying Club is currently located at the Senai Cargo terminal as its permanent headquarters and continues to run 6 days a week to provide quality aviation education at a reasonable fee.
The training is open to anyone with a minimum age 17; except for Singaporeans with minimum age 30. Pilot’s must pass Class Two Medical taken at Singapore (Dr. Medora +65 6288 0035) or Johor, Malaysia (Dr. Piong Chee Liat +607 6996671). The Private Pilot Flight and Ground Training must be completed within 12 months.
FRAS Flying Club is the only Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) approved Flying Club to be designated Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMO) and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO). FRAS also provides Aircraft Sale, Pilot on Call, Flight, Maintenance and Ground Support to members who owned aircraft.
Flight Training of 40.0 hours minimum as required by Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), 30.0 hours Dual Flying with Flight Instructor and 10.0 hours Solo Flying. Aircraft used for Flight Training are 2 x Piper PA28-161 Single Engine 160 HP, Four Seater, upgraded G5 Flight Instrument and GPS.
FRAS has one of the BEST Flight Experience Programs for its members. 1.0 hour Flight Experience, 5.0 hours Basic Flight Experience or 12.0 hours Flight Aptitude Flight Experience. Medical or Student Pilot License not required; minimum age 13.
Total 100.0 hours of Ground School includes initial 2-days Ground School, Radio Communication, Navigation Planning and CAAM Ground Preparation Examination. Training materials provided by FRAS include Flight Training Manual, Student Study Guide, Aircraft Operating Handbook, Aircraft Checklist, Maps, Pilot’s Bag, Kneeboard, Plotter and Logbook.

Our members are all professionals in they own right and they choose to be Recreational Pilots in their free time. FRAS members are Reciprocal Members of the Raffles Marina Singapore. FRAS organises monthly flyovers within Malaysia for its members.
Total estimate cost is Ringgit Malaysia RM80k There are NO hidden cost. The estimate cost includes 40.0 Flight Hours, Joining Fee, Subscription, Ground School, Training Materials, Professional Visit Pass. It does not included Landing and Air Navigation facility charges.
FRAS Administration Office will plan the CAAM Ground School and Flight Examinations which include Aviation Law, Human Performance and Limitations, Aircraft General, VFR Communication, Navigation and Meteorology, Aircraft Technical Type, Flight Performance, Principal of Flight, Operational Procedures, Radio Practical Test, English Language Proficiency Practical and Private Pilot Flight Test.
